千代田区に来ている。
飲んだくれる前に軽く讃岐うどんでも手繰ろうと心当たりを散策。
節電も何処吹く風的な大看板が煌々と照っている様子。
当店、いわゆる「讃岐的セルフ」とは異なり、着席の後に従業員が注文を訊きに席までやって来る仕組みである。（ってふつうじゃん）
「かけうどんのきつね（温）」を頼む。
温かいだしに温かい饂飩、香川から直送されたという葱と油揚げが載る。
ほどなくして出された丼には「きつね」しか視界に入らない。
しかも劇的に肉厚なきつねである。
この具だけで食事が終了しそうな勢いである。
それでもどうにか御狐様を退治し、卓上の「たぬき（天かす）」を放り込んで本体である饂飩を手繰り始める。
･･･期待値よりはやや劣るようだ。
讃州での旅の思い出が美化されているだけではあるまい。
食にノスタルジィを求めた刹那より、その選択肢は加速度的に激減してゆくのを知りつつも止められないのだ。
